People

Five elders, two of whom are full-time ministers, look after the spiritual needs of the church and six deacons are largely responsible for church finances, practical needs and support roles within the church.

The care and oversight provided by these men are implemented with the help of a wider network of leaders and workers throughout the congregation.

The church has two full-time and two part-time workers:

MARK JOHNSTON

Mark has been the minister of Grove Chapel since 1994. He is married with two children and was previously involved in church-planting work in Ireland. He is the author of a number of books and commentaries.

SIMON ARSCOTT

Simon was born in Camberwell and grew upĀ attending Grove Chapel. After studying History at York University, he worked for several years in Camberwell College of Art. He then went to Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia to study theology, before returning to Camberwell to take up the Assistant Minister's position at Grove. He is married to Becky and they have a daughter: Lydia.

LIZ MURRAY

Liz is the Church Administrator. She works part-time and is responsible for many of the organisational aspects of the day to day running of the church.
